(monthly) 2) Rinse the outdoor coils with a garden hose every spring 3) Do not have furniture blocking the return air intake grills 4) Pour 4 ounces of Bleach into the condesation drain to help clear the drain 5) Install a digital thermostat. We recommend Honeywell products 6) Inspect your duct for any air leaks 7) Have your heating and a/c system inspected every 2 years. 8) Only use licensed HVAC contractors 9) If you smell gas. Do not turn on any lights or electrical appliances. Gather your family and pets and exit the home immediately. Then call 911 when you all are safely away from the home. 10) If your HVAC system is over 15 years old, you should seriously consider replacement. The money you will save on utility cost over the next 5 years will pay for your new system. |
